Taking Care Of Conveyor Systems And Belts

Conveyor systems are important parts of the heavy duty industry. The conveyor systems consist of many parts such as conveyor belts and other machinery. These parts require regular maintenance and servicing in order to fully function. Taking care of these systems involves the following processes:

Shutting Down The Inspection

Always inspect the belts when the system is shut down. This is a safety measure and should be adhered to at all times. Once it is shut down, proceed by checking the belt for any faults and confirm that it is not lose in other areas. Immediately fix the damaged and faulty parts should there be any. Clean the belt and other parts and wrap another layer of rubber on the belt.

Test The Belt

Once the initial check process has been performed, turn on the system. Follow the belt length to confirm its functionality. Put it to the test by loading a cargo on it. Track the load and ensure that it does not get stuck. If problems start arising then catalogue the system for servicing.

Fix The Catalogued Issues

Once the problematic issues have been catalogued, fix them as soon as possible. Service other parts of the conveyor belts and oil the wheel to prevent rusting and enhance the loading process as a result.
